A 2-person portable spa weighing 300 lbs is a simpler job than an 8-person spa weighing 900 lbs. Larger tubs require more crew members and sometimes cutting the shell into sections for removal.
2. Access
Easy access (ground level, wide gate): Standard pricing. Difficult access (elevated deck, narrow gate, no side yard, must go through house): Add $50-$200. We assess access during your quote — text photos of the tub and the path to the street.
3. Built-In vs. Portable
Portable hot tubs sit on a pad and can be moved or cut apart. Built-in tubs surrounded by decking require deck demolition first, adding time and cost. We handle both.
4. Condition
A hot tub in decent shape might be moved intact. A cracked, rotting, or structurally compromised tub gets cut into sections on-site with a reciprocating saw. Both approaches are included in our pricing.
