Denver’s Holiday Junk Recycling Guide 2025
Brought to you by Junk Same Day — Denver’s local, family-owned junk removal team keeping the holidays clean and green since 2020.
🎁 1. Wrapping Paper & Boxes
We all know that post-gift chaos — wrapping paper everywhere, boxes stacked like a Tetris wall. The rule of thumb: if it tears easily, it’s recyclable. But metallic, glittery, or foil paper? Trash. We can pick up all your cardboard and paper clutter in one quick holiday cleanout trip.
💡 2. Christmas Lights & Electronics
Burnt-out string lights and outdated electronics don’t belong in the trash. Drop them off at Denver Recycles or schedule our Appliance & E-Waste Removal service — we partner with certified recyclers to keep heavy metals out of landfills.
🌲 3. Christmas Trees (Real & Fake)
Real trees go through Denver’s Treecycle program or can be picked up curbside by our crew. Fake trees? We’ll donate or recycle the frame depending on condition. Either way — no pine needles left behind.
🧹 4. Old Décor, Garlands & Wreaths
Plastic wreaths, garlands, and ornaments are mixed materials and can’t go in the blue bin. We collect these items for sorting and recycling through local partners in Lakewood and Aurora.
🍽 5. Kitchen Junk & Packaging Waste
Hosting means packaging overload — foil pans, bottles, broken dishes, you name it. We can haul away mixed materials safely and make sure recyclables are separated. Bonus: we sweep and sanitize before we go.
“Last year we recycled over 10,000 pounds of post-holiday clutter from Denver homes — that’s a sleigh-load of sustainability.”
