Walk through the space and separate items you want removed from items you’re keeping. Use sticky notes, colored tape, or just group “go” items in one area so there’s no confusion when the crew arrives.
Clear a Path
Make sure hallways, stairs, and doorways are clear enough for the crew to carry items through safely. Move rugs, shoes, or anything that could be a tripping hazard. A clear path means a faster job.
Disconnect Appliances If Possible
If you have appliances being removed, unplug them and disconnect water lines when you can. Our crew handles most disconnections, but having them ready saves time. Not sure how? Just leave it — we’ve got it covered.
Separate Personal Items
Check drawers, cushions, shelves, and pockets of furniture being removed. We’ve found phones, jewelry, cash, and important documents inside items headed for the truck. A quick check avoids a headache later.
Note Any Access Issues
Narrow stairs, locked gates, low-clearance garages, tricky parking — let us know ahead of time. Share gate codes, parking instructions, or anything that helps the crew find you and get started faster.
